John Reinhard was born in Upper Milford, May 8, 1796, where he had a farm of 90 acres and served as a school director. He afterward moved to Salisbury, where he owned a farm along the Little Lehigh, which he received from his father. He died in Salisbury, Feb. 17, 1886. In 1824, he was married to Maria W. Roth. She was born April 10, 1802, and died July 15, 1875. They had six children: Philip, John, Sarah, Mary, James, and Lewis H.
