OWEN H. REICHART of West Catasauqua, was born in Whitehall, Nov. 13. 1846. He was reared upon the farm and at the age of 18 years, learned the carpenter trade and after working as journeyman a few years he commenced to work for F. W. Wint and Co., at Catasauqua, in the planing mill, and there he was employed for 38 years, retiring in 1910. During 1911, Mr. Reichart and his wife made a trip to Celilo, Oregon, where their daughter, Eva U., with her family resided. Mr. and Mrs. Reichart are Lutheran members of the Mickley's church. He served his congregation as deacon and elder. On May 5, 1875, he matted Amanda Musick daughter of Thomas and Maria (Steckel) Musick, whose last years were spent with his daughter Mrs. Reichart. Their children are: (i) Eva U., matted to Edgar Miller, who was a merchant in Philadelphia, Pa., but from 1909 until 1911, they lived in Oregon. Since the latter date they lived at West Catasauqua. They have a son, Edgar O. A. (2) Luzetta died in her fourth year.
