Edwin R. Reichard, the second youngest son of Daniel, was born Oct. 2, 1833. He has always followed the pursuit of farming and in 1874 he settled in Lower Macungie where he bought a farm of 56 acres, which he brought to a high state of cultivation. He lives retired since the year 1900, and his son, Charles, succeeded him to the farm.

He was married to Colletta Newhard, and they had the following children: William H., of Allentown; Maria S., of Packerton; Oscar D., of Philadelphia; Charles M., of Macungie; Rev. Francis E., whose history follows; and Nathaniel P., of Aqueduct. L. I.
