He was employed by the Bryden Horse Shoe Company as a bookkeeper for a period of twenty-five years. During the year of 1913, he helped organize the Crystal Ice Company, which was located at the southeast corner of Peach and American Streets. Chauncey O. Fuller was elected secretary-treasurer of the firm and he held this position until his death.

Chauncey O. Fuller resided for fifteen years at the Eagle Hotel, Front and Bridge Streets, and there he died of typhoid pneumonia on January 8, 1915. His remains were interred in the Fuller family plot at Fairview Cemetery.
