"When he (John H. K.) died in 1863 his widow brought her five sons into Easton, the oldest was William E who was about 14. In1877 William E with Charles Wrightson purchased the hardware business from the widow of John Wright. William E had clerked in Tuttle Hardware store for over ten years and was an astute, able man. The sons of John H K all worked together and lived over the hardware store."
