Arent "Aaron" DeCamp was born in 1715, the son of John and Mary (Prall) DeCamp.[1]He died intestate in Essex County, New Jersey in 1788.[2] His wife was named Mary, recorded as remarrying to William Connet, Deacon of the Presbyterian Church in New Providence, New Jersey in 1790.[3] This same year, his son, Aaron DeCamp, Jr. filed a petition in Essex County to divide the land of his father, naming the children of his deceased father, to wit; Aaron (the petitioner), Moses, John, Job, Levi, Lot, Mary, Sarah, Amy, Docia (Theodocia), and Jemima Squire who was dec'd.
