Aaron DeCamp of Caldwell in Essex, New Jersey was the son of Aaron DeCamp who died in 1788. He married to Ketura Clark of New Providence, New Jersey. His father is determined by a petition filed in Essex on the 23rd of January in 1790 to divide his dec'd father's lands. The petition gives the death of Aaron DeCamp, Sr. in 1788 and names the petitioners nine siblings; Moses, John, Job, Levi, Lot, Mary, Sarah, Amy, Docia, and Jemima who is dec'd. The children of Aaron DeCamp, Jr. and Ketura were listed in his will with the exception of John DeCamp who died prior and unmarried and without issue.
