Mrs. Estella E. Lentz, wife of Harry W. Lentz, of 326 N. Filbert St., Allentown, died Friday in the Allentown Hospital where she had been admitted after being stricken while eating dinner. She was 71.
Born in East Allentown, then Rittersville, she was a daughter of the late Preston E. and Laura E. (Weiser) Biegley, and was a resident of this city all her life.
A member of St. Joseph's Evangelical Lutheran Church, she was also affiliated with the Mary Livingston Chapter 167, Order of the Eastern Star, Petersville Rod and Gun Club auxiliary, first president and a charter member of the East Allentown Fire Co. auxiliary, State fireman's auxiliary and the World War mothers, unit one.
In November of last year, the couple marked their 53rd wedding anniversary.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, William P., and Robert C., and seven daughters, Blanche E. S., wife of Edwin Neitz, Elsie I., wife of Walter Beers, Meta C., wife of Floyd Christine, Ruth E., wife of Luther Saul, and Helen I., wife of Charles Rissell, all of Allentown, and Ella V., wife of George Stein, Bethlehem, and Catherine A., wife of Harold Painter, Orefield. Ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren, and one brother William of Allentown also survive.
