Herbert J. Kleppinger, public accountant of Allentown, was born Aug. 9, 1881. He was educated in the public Schools; was graduated from the Catasauqua High school in 1899. He followed clerical work at Catasauqua and Allentown; and for a time was the senior accountant of the North American Audit Company until their removal from that city. On Feb. 1, 1912, Mr. Kleppinger opened up offices as a public accountant in the Hunsicker Building.

On Oct. 29, 1909, he was married to Mary E. Cawley, a daughter of Cyrus and Diana (Carl) Cawley, of Allentown.
