Ludwig M. Lou Szep, 89, of Allentown, died January 31, 2013 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was the husband of Lorraine I. (Hohe) Szep for the past 69 years. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late George and Christina (Lipp) Szep. Lou worked for the PA Liquor Control Board for many years retiring as a manager at the Hanover Ave store, Allentown. He also worked part time for his brother, Joe, at the former Szeps Gas Station, Allentown. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Signal Corps in the Persian Gulf Command. Lou was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Congregation, Allentown.

SURVIVORS: Loving wife, Lorraine; son, Michael Szep and his wife Marijean; daughter, Ann wife of Louis Gergar; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Steven C. Szep, brothers, George, Joseph and John Szep and his sister, Christine Elsie Miles.
