John Leisenring, Jr., s/o John and Anna Maria (Stedman) Leisenring, was married to Caroline (Bertsch) Leisenring. Married March 12, 1844 at First Presbyterian Church of Mauch Chunk, Mauch Chunk, Pa., they were the parents of five children, Edward B. Leisenring, Annie Kemmerer, Mary D. Wentz, Catharine Middleton, and John Leisenring.
John Leisenring, Jr., was engaged as an engineer on the Upper Lehigh navigation improvement; was afterwards chief engineer and general manager of the Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company, and still later chief engineer of the Lehigh and Susquehanna Railroad.
