Mrs. Amelia Neff, wife of Duan Neff, the veteran carpenter and roofer, died yesterday morning at her home, 430 ½ North Tenth street, of erysipelas after an illness of several months. Deceased was born in Washington township 67 years ago and was the daughter of Dennis Hunsicker, Slatington's pioneer hotelman and Esther Smith Hunsicker. Of a large family of which she was a member, only two children, Leon, of Slatington, and Alfred, of Hoffmans, survive her. She was married by Rev. Wm. Helfrich on January 2, 1859, and nine children were born to the couple. Five of these survive, as follows: Allen A., Wm. F., Ella E. and Melvin B., all of this city; and Mrs. Edward L. Krause, Slatington. She was a member of St. Andrew's Reformed Church, of which her son Wm. F. was one of the organizers. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid Society of this congregation. The funeral will be held by Rev. Kern on Wednesday at 9.30 at the house. The remains will then be taken to Slatington where interment will follow in Union Cemetery.
