FREDERICK BOAS learned the trade of coppersmith and tin-plate worker at Reading, Pa., but commenced business for himself at Reading. He removed to Harrisburg, Pa., in 1811, where he carried on his trade successfully. He was an enterprising citizen, and, although, quiet and unobtrusive, a representive man in the community.
