FRANCIS C. NEWHARD, son of Charles. Jr., farmer at Seiple's Station, was born at Slatington, Feb. 13. 1873. He was reared upon the farm of Francis J. Newhard, with whom he had lived seventeen years. In 1897 he went to Allentown, where he drove a milk team and later for two years was a trolley car conductor. In 1907 he began farming at Seiple's Station, where he purchased the Alfred Seiple farm of 54 acres, and in 1910 erected his present residence. He has a valuable herd of cattle and conducts a dairy farm. He and family are members of Salem Reformed church, Allentown. Mr. Newhard married, Nov. 28, 1896, Sarah A., daughter of John and Catharine (Scheirer) Helfrich, and grand-daughter of George Helfrich. They have three children: Walter G., William F. and Albert H.
