Peter Miller, the third son of Peter, was born 12/4/1802, in Lynn Township. He owned and operated a farm, hotel, and store at Saegersville, from the time he was 20 years old until his death, a period of 65 years. He was the leading businessman in his section. He died 9/12/1888, and was interred in Heidelberg church cemetery. He and family were members of the Reformed, which he served as an elder. He married Magdalena (Polly) Saeger, daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Pretz) Saeger, of Saegersville. She was born 9/6/1808, and died 1/8/1885. His father was a foremost man of his time, and his family was descended from the royal family of Germany. Saegersville was named in his honor. The issue of Mr. and Mrs. Miller were: Maria married Levi Krause; William died young; Matilda, born 1832, died 1893, married Hon. Samuel J. Kistler; Sophia, matted Dr. William P. Seipel; Owen A.; Dr. Aaron S.; and Dr. Edward P., father of David A. Miller, proprietor of the Morning Call, at Allentown. PA
