Christian Seiberling was born in Germany in 1733 and is supposed to have emigrated with his parents. He was married to Ernestine Louisa Holben, born 1728, died 1824. He died 1820. They had five children.

He settled in Weisenberg Township which was a part of the Allemangel district. In 1785 he was assessed in that township for; 200 acres, which land in 1880 was owned by John Kline.
