PETER RUCH was born April 3, 1855, on a farm near Siegersville. At the age of fourteen, he learned the blacksmith trade, which he followed until 1891, when he began farming at Ruchsville. In 1902 he occupied his present farm of ninety-one acres, the Geo. Xander homestead. He is also greatly interested in poultry. In religion he is a Lutheran. He married Miss Agnes Guth, daughter of Evan Guth. They have five children.
