John Heinrich Romig, the third son of John Adam, of whom we have any definite knowledge, was born at Ittlingen, Feb. 15. 1729, and was baptized by the local Lutheran pastor. On Dec. 2, 1754, he married Hannah Volk.

His wife died Oct. 17, 1763; and on the 14th of May the following year, he was married again to the widow, Maria Elisabeth Xander. whose maiden name had been KiecheL This union was blessed with seven children. He united with the Moravian congregation in Lynn in 1758, and was the first of the family to turn Moravian. When the congregation in Lynn disbanded in 1771 he united with the congregation at Emaus. He died June 29, 1786.
