ORVILLE I. RITTER, of Allentown, was born at Ballietsville, Aug. 6, 1872. He attended the public schools, Muhlenberg College, and was graduated from the scientific department of the Northern Indiana Normal School (now Valparaiso University), Indiana in 1892. He followed the profession of teaching in Lehigh county for ten years, and in 1898 he was appointed a railway mail clerk He continued in that position for 18 months and then resigned to accept the position of teller of the Cementon National Bank.
