Benjamin Oswald was born on the Seisloff farm on December 5, 1828. He owned the "Oswald Homestead" and there carried on farming operations. He was a member of the German Reformed congregation of Ebenezer Church and there he was buried. He was married to Elizabeth Sheetz, daughter of David and Elizabeth (Brobst) Sheetz of Lynn township, born August 24, 1835 and died July 20, 1894.
