Misc. Notes
Mary M. Trexler, widow of General Harry C. Trexler, died December 20, 1934. She was a daughter of William K. and Lucy A., nee Fisher, Mosser, and resided all her lifetime in Allentown. She was married to General Trexler in 1885.

As a young woman, she was active in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, taught in the Sunday School and continued her interest in the church until her death. The Allentown-Bethlehem Children's Home and the Needle Work Guild, of which she was one of the organizers in Allentown, were charities in which she was particularly concerned, although she shared her husband's interest in all his altruistic projects, among which may be specially mentioned the Boy Scouts and Romper Day.

As the wife of General Trexler, Allentown's first citizen, whose interests extended in so many lines of business and benevolence, she quietly lent her aid and this experience proved of great aid to his executors in the days following his sudden death. In her last will she provided that her estate should be merged with that of her husband and applied to the same general purposes.

Reference to the biography of General Trexler in this volume will more fully disclose the details of the life of this estimable woman, for she was indeed a true helpmeet to him and took a keen interest in all his affairs and was his trusted confidant.
