LEWIS F. MOSSER, son of Joseph and Maria (Krause) Mosser, was born at Mossersville, Nov. 6, 1840. He obtained a business education and successfully operated the custom grist and sawmill for almost half a century. He gave steady employment to a number of men and was an influential and representative citizen of Lynn town chip He established the post office at Mosserville in 1866 and for many years served as postmaster, having as assistants his nephews, John and David Mosser. He died in May 1913. His wife, Sarah A. is a daughter of Peter Bachman.
