JAMES P. LICHTENWALNEL a retired citizen of Schoenersville, a son of Joseph, was born in Hanover. Lehigh County, Oct 27, 1839. He was reared upon the homestead; began to farm the same in 1863, and for three years also farmed an adjoining farm. For eleven years he farmed the homestead farm of 114 acres. In 1878 he moved to Bethlehem township, later to East Allen Township. He retired in 1902 and came to Schoenersville, where he purchased a home, still retaining his farm in Lower Nazareth Township. He has been a member of the executive committee of the Lichtenwalner Family Reunion since its inception, is a Republican and a member of the Lutheran Church. He was married June 3, 1860, to Lena A., daughter of Jacob and Julia (Schaeffer) Huber.
