One of the oldest residents of Allentown, Emma Koehler died October 26, 1948, at 721 North 6th Street, near the Koehler home where she was born on April 80, 1858. Her father was Franklin Koehler, and her mother was the former Susan Elizabeth Newhard. She was active in church and cultural groups, especially Zion Reformed Church and Sunday School. She was a member of the D..A.R., the Junior Auxiliary of the Allentown Hospital and a trustee of the Phoebe Home.
