Mrs. Rosa E., nee Swartz, wife of Ray T. Kern, of the firm of McKeever, Kern & Co., public accountants, and professor of business economics at Cedar Crest College, of 226 North St. Cloud St., passed away at 4 o'clock Monday morning at the Sacred Heart hospital, following an operation for cancer. She had been ill for a period of three years. Mrs. Kern was 37 years, 2 months and 3 days of age. She was a faithful member of St. John's Reformed church, Slatington. There survive her parents, George T. and Catherine Swartz, of Hazleton; her husband and two children, Lucille S. and June Rae. Three brothers, Warren E., of Milwaukee; Harry E., of New York City; and Arthur E., of this city, also survive.
