Private Co A 87th PA Volunteers

Abraham Frick was born June 22, 1844, the son of John Peifer & Hannah Hershey Frick, and the husband of Anna Elizabeth Bond Frick. In 1860, he was a printer living in York Borough. He died February 16, 1877.

A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in York August 24, 1861, with Co. A, 87th Pa Inf, at the rank of private. Captured at the battle of Carter's Woods and imprisoned at Belle Isle in Richmond until exchanged. Returned to the regiment October 5, 1863. Honorably discharged in York October 13, 1864.
