Frank H. Kuder, for 22 years secretary of the Farmer's Mutual Fire Insurance Co. of Pennsylvania, and a former justice of the peace of Lower Macungie township, died on June 26, 1940, at his home, Brookdale, Alburtis R. 1.

Mr. Kuder, in ill health for several years, intended to vacation in Florida last January, but became more seriously ill enroute and for some time staved at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Merril Yost, Lancaster.

Mr. Kuder was in his 66th year.

A native of Fogelsville, he was the son of Frank and Keturah, nee Fogel, Kuder. After attending the schools at Fogelsville, he continued his education at Kutztown State Normal school, from which institution he was graduated in 1899.

For 23 years Mr. Kuder taught school in Lower and Upper Macungie townships.

An accomplished musician, he was organist of Zion Lehigh church, near Alburtis, for 39 years. In his youth, he sang with the Grace Episcopal Boys' choir of Allentown. He also taught piano and organ for a number of years.

In addition to serving as organist of Lehigh church, Mr. Kuder also was an elder and treasurer of the congregation for many years. He was affiliated with the Lutheran wing. For 40 years he taught the Bible class and was active in numerous Sunday school activities. He was buried in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Besides his secretary-ship of the Farmer's Mutual Fire Insurance Co., he was also a director of the organization and a director of the Alburtis Building and Loan Assn.

Fraternally, he was affiliated with Lehigh Lodge, No. 326, F. and A. M., Trexlertown; Fogelsville Council 403, F. P. A.; Jordan Commandery, Knights of Malta, Allentown: Washington Camp, 97, P. O. S. of A., and Lehigh Consistory, Allentown.

For six years Mr. Kuder served as justice of the peace in Lower Macungie Township.

Surviving are his widow, nee Florence Ruth; one daughter, Ruth, viIe of Merrill Yost, Lancaster; a brother, Edwin, Alburtis R. 1, and a nephew. John Kuder, Alburtis.
