Associated with the Friedens-Bothe in 1860; recruited shortly before his death by Major Gander as soldier for the 47th Regiment, commanded by Col. T. H. Good and stationed in South Carolina; died on sea bound for there; buried at Hilton Head; the Patriot of Dec. 3 states that his body had been brought to Allentown for burial; member of Good Will Fire Co., which passed resolutions upon his death.
