Thomas Kuntz, son of Jacob D., was born Jan. 30, 1821, and he lived near Hoffman's, in Washington township, where he had a farm of 107 acres which is now owned by John F. Peter. He was a Republican in politics and served his district as a school director. He and his family were Lutheran members of the Frieden's church, which he served as an elder. His wife was Rachel Benninger, born in 1821, and died in 1892. He died May 31, 1895.
