DAVID J. NAGLE as born at Kreidersville. Northampton county, July 17, 1871, and is the son of Dr. Thomas S. Nagle, the well known physician and druggist of Allentown, and his wife, Sabina (Lichtenwalner) Nagle, who was a daughter of Jonas Lichtenwalner, and his wife, Lydia Gradwhohl.

David J. Nagle received his education the public schools of Allenton after which he served a three year apprenticeship with his father in the drug store. Following this he was employed as bookkeeper for the Allentown Hardware Company for a period of seven years, after which he engaged in the general insurance business, building up a large clientele during the fourteen years in which he has been thus engaged. Mr. Nagle represents life, liability, accident, fire and other forms of insurance companies; and is also interested in Building and Loan Associations.

Mr. Nagle is a member of Christ Lutheran church. His fraternal connections are with B. P. O. E., No. 130; and Jordan Lodge, No. 673, F. and A. M.. He Married Mildred K. daughter of William Roth, of Allentown. Their children are: Nina Elizabeth, born March 10, 1892, and Thomas William, born April 14, 1895.
