Rev. Gottleib F.Yaeger was born in Wurternberg, Germany, in 1797, and received his education at the University of Tubingen. He was ordained as a minister in the Lutheran Church, and on coming to the United States, when about twenty years of age, located in Berks County, where he preached the Gospel for over half a century. He had the honor of being the oldest minister in his denomination in this country at the time of his death which occurred in his ninetieth year.
