Charles W. Lambert, was born February 22, 1852, in Lower Saucon township, Northampton county, Pennsylvania. He received his education in the public schools of Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. After his schooling was finished he entered upon an apprenticeship as a tinsmith. He soon became proficient in the trade, and engaged in business at Friedensville, Lehigh County, where he remained for five years. He then returned to Catasauqua to learn the iron manufacturing business. He remained there until he married, when he accepted a position with the Bethlehem Steel Company, which he has since held by virtue of his superior workmanship.
