Mr. Myers was a member of Ohr Lodge and an active member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church...

One project close to his heart was the devlopment of the Braddock Road section on Haystack Mountain, lying on the outskirts of Cumberland. Mr. Myers purchased a large number of lots in the area and spent many hours each week, in all kinds of weather, planting flowers and trees and developing the grounds and roads, which certainly made the area a beauty spot. The present growth of the whole area attst to the vision and foresight of this man.

Mr. myers retired in 1936 and he and Mrs. myers moved to baltimore Coutny to make their home with their daught and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs. William J. Taylor (later moving with them to Bethlehem, PA.)"
