Mrs. John Moat of 416 Second St., Catasauqua, died suddenly Monday afternoon at her home, following an attack of uraemic poisoning. She had just returned from the funeral of Adrain R. Martin, at Hokendauqna, a soldier who died of influenza at Camp Meade, when she was stricken. Her daughter, Elsie, was unable to gain admission to the house on her return from school. She notified her father, who is a foreman at the Bryden Horse Shoe Works. He found his Wife unconscious. Dr. John Schneller was summoned, but. the stricken woman could not be revived.
Mrs.Moat was a daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Williams, Catasauqua. She lived in Catasauqua all her life. She is survived by her parents, her husband, three children, three brothers, Lewis Williams Jr.. William Williams and Hobart Williams, and four sisters: Mrs. Charles Ludy, Mrs. John McLister, Mrs. McAllister and Mrs. Edward Smith. Both of the deceased's son's are in war service. The elder, J. Russell, is with the Eighty-ninth Division in France, and Harry is in the ordnance department Frankford Arsenal, Philadelphia.
