William R. Thomas III, 88, died Thursday in Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, Montgomery County. He was the husband of Virginia C. (Brown) Thomas and the late Lucy (Watts) Thomas. A 1927 graduate of Princeton University, he co-owned the M.W. Thomas Co. Inc., New York City, a textile manufacturing business, before retiring in 1965. Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late William and Minnie (Milson) Thomas Jr. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Bethlehem. He was a past president of the National Cotton Council, New York City, and he sang with the Bethlehem Bach Choir and served as its secretary.
