Wedding announcement. Clara H. (Hopkins) Thomas was the daughter of John and Mary (Griffiths) Hopkins, and was born 4 Jan 1870 Lehigh Co. PA. Both of her parents were born in Wales. She was baptized (at age 9) on Jan. 10, 1880 at the Presbyterian Church in Catasauqua, Lehigh Co, PA.
She was the spouse of Rowland Davis Thomas, of Parryville, Carbon Co. PA. They were married in Catasauqua, Lehigh Co, PA. on Oct. 27, 1897. She was 27 at the time. He was 28. Application for a marriage License #7661, and film # 002080144.
In the 1900 Census, Clara (30) lived with Rowland (31) in Lehigh Co. PA. at house #5 on Second St., part of the Second Ward. In the 1920 Census, Clara (50) and Rowland (51) had moved to 234 Pine St. in Catasauqua, PA. and stayed there for the rest of their lives.
Clara, widow, died on Apr. 6, 1959 Catasauqua, Lehigh Co, PA., at age of 89 years, 3 months, and 4 days from hypertension cardio vascular disease which she had for a year. Undertaker was Thomas A.
